The Dallas Stars organization has added some depth on the blue line.
The club signed Swedish defenseman Niklas Hansson to a three-year, entry-level contract Friday.
The 21-year-old will join the AHL's Texas Stars on an amateur tryout for the rest of the season.
Hansson collected 22 points in 44 regular-season games with HV71 of the Swedish league.
He was a third-round pick by Dallas in 2013.
