All HUT Fantasy Hockey Updates In NHL 25 Through May. 10

Back again with another NHL 25 Hockey Ultimate Team Fantasy update, this week we have new NHL and PWHL Playoff cards. 

Eight new NHL and four new PWHL Fantasy Hockey cards were added this week and are available to build now, we broke down that release here.

Given there have been less game there have not been many updates, Blayre Turnbull and Shiann Darkangelo both scored in the opening game of PWHL playoffs and are up to 94 overall. 

Adam Lowry and Anton Lundell are now up to 96 overall while Mark Stone is now 95. Sam Bennett, Evander Kane, and Tom Wilson are now 94 overall. 

All upgrades and new cards are pictured in the video above.

All HUT Fantasy Hockey Updates In NHL 25 Through May. 3

Back again with another NHL 25 Hockey Ultimate Team Fantasy Hockey update as the NHL Playoffs approaches the end of the first round. 

Andrei Svechnikov had a great first round, recording five goals and five games and now sits at 98 overall. 

Laura Stacey was the lone PWHL player to receive an upgrade and is up to 97 overall. 

Brett Howden and Matthew Knies are each up to 96 overall, while Trevor Moore, Juraj Slafkovsky, Marco Rossi, Adam Lowry, Nick Paul, Timo Meier, and Anton Lundell are 95 overall. Mikael Granlund and Jake Neighbours are 94 overall. 

Moore, Slafkovsky, Rossi, Paul, and Meier's teams have been eliminated and each card will not receive any future upgrades.

Playoff Event Week 2 In NHL 25 HUT

Week 2 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs Event is now live in NHL 25 Hockey Ultimate Team. 

The five new 94 overall master set players are Andrei Vasilevskiy, Larry Murphy, Ryan McDonagh, Bryan Trottier, and Jarome Iginla. 

16 additional Stanley Cup base cards were added, led by 93 overall Thomas Steen, Olaf Kolzig, Deryk Engelland, and Borje Salming and 92 overall Sergei Zubov, Cory Sarich, and Bernie Nicholls. 

Six new Wildcard players were added and are playable, all are 94 overall. The players are David Pastrnak, Nikita Kucherov, Connor McDavid, Jacob Markstrom, Zdeno Chara, and Cale Makar. 

Four new Game Day players, two 91 overall players from the Colorado Avalanche and Dallas Stars are also available, Evgenni Dadonov and Cody Ceci for the Stars and Josh Manson and Jonathan Drouin for the Avalanche. 

Each master set Playoff player costs three 91+ Playoff cards and any two 91+ cards.

Players can trade any three 89+ Playoff cards for a 91 Playoff card or any three 87+ cards for an 89 overall Playoff card. 

There are Collectible sets where players can trade in Stanley Cup Collectibles for player packs. Players can trade in 30 Stanley Cup Playoff Collectibles for a 91 overall untradeable or 93 overall BND card.

Sleeveless Gaming Jersey Added To NHL 25 HUT

A free Sleeveless Gaming jersey pack is available in NHL 25 Hockey Ultimate Team.

The jersey celebrates Cam "NoSleeves" Halbert, an NHL content creator and and commentator for NHL Esports. 

The jersey can be acquired in a free pack in the HUT Store or in the World of Chel store.

Creators like NoSleeves are essential to NHL 25 and it is great to see support from EA, hopefully there more creator additions going forward.

New NHL 25 Roster Update, Ivan Demidov, Zeev Buium, Quinn Hutson Added

A new roster update is officially live in NHL 25.

Multiple prospects and college free agents have been added including Montreal Canadiens forward Ivan Demidov, Minnesota Wild defenseman Zeev Buium, and Edmonton Oilers forward Quinn Hutson.

Demidov's first ever EA SPORTS NHL player comes in at 83 overall with elite high potential, a huge rating for a player who has appeared in four career NHL games.

Buium is rated 80 overall with elite medium potential.

Hutson is 75 overall with medium top nine potential. 

Each players stats and player profile are pictured below. All are available to use in every online and offline mode once players download the most recent rosters.

EA SPORTS NHL 25 Predicts Toronto Maple Leafs To Win The Stanley Cup In Playoff Simulation

The Toronto Maple Leafs won the Stanley Cup In EA SPORTS' NHL 25 official simulation of the 2024-25 NHL Playoffs. 

The simulation predicts Toronto to beat the Ottawa Senators 4-2 in round one, the Florida Panthers 4-2 in round two, and sweep the Montreal Canadiens in four games in the Eastern Conference Finals before beating the Colorado Avalanche in seven games in the Stanley Cup Final. 

EA SPORTS accurately predicted Team Canada to win the 4 Nations Face-Off, even predicting Connor McDavid to score in overtime against Team USA in the final. 

The simulation has the Canadiens beating both the Washington Capitals and Carolina Hurricanes 4-1 to advance to the Eastern Conference Final.  

The Avalanche defeat the Dallas Stars and Winnipeg Jets 4-1 before beating the Vegas Golden Knights in seven games to reach the Cup Final.

New NHL 25 Roster Update, Ryan Leonard, Gabriel Perreault, Jimmy Snuggerud, And Oliver Moore Added

A new roster update is live in NHL 25 with new rookies being added to the game. 

New York Rangers forward Gabriel Perreault, Washing Capitals forward Ryan Leonard, St. Louis Blues forward Jimmy Snuggerud, Chicago Blackhawks forward Oliver Moore and Blackhawks defenseman Sam Rinzel all received new playable characters in-game.

Leonard received medium elite potential, while the other three were given medium top 6 potential. Rinzel is a medium top 4 defenseman.

Montreal Canadiens prospects Jacob Fowler and Ivan Demidov should be added once they appear in their first professional games in North America. 

All players were assigned to their respective teams and are playable in play now, franchise mode, shootout mode, and all other offline modes.

NHL 25 Available For Free On EA Play

EA Sports NHL 25

EA SPORTS NHL 25 is currently available to play for free with EA Play.

EA Play is $7.99 CAD per month or $54.99 per year and allows exclusive rewards and access a library of games. 

With NHL 25 in the latter half of it's cycle the entire game is playable for EA Play members.

Alex Ovechkin's Career Ratings In EA NHL Games

Alex Ovechkin scored his 895th career goal on Sunday, passing Wayne Gretzly for the most goals in NHL history. 

In honor of Ovechkin doing what many thought was impossible we wanted to look back at his career ratings in EA NHL video games. 

Ovechkin debuted as the cover star at 95 overall in NHL 07 and has been a dominate in-game character all the way up to NHL 25.

His career ratings are below. 

  • NHL 07: (Cover Athlete) 95 overall
  • NHL 08: 91
  • NHL 09: 94
  • NHL 10: 92
  • NHL 11: 94
  • NHL 12: 93
  • NHL 13: 93
  • NHL 14: 94
  • NHL 15: 93

Ovechkin was initially an 89 overall when NHL 25 was first released, his first time being rated below a 90 overall, but is now up to 91 overall after mid-season updates.

Corner Stones Event Week 2 In NHL 25

Corner Stones Event Week 2 is live now in NHL 25 Hockey Ultimate Team. 

The new master set players are 92 overall Mats Sundin, Brian Leetch, Patrick Marleau, Jean-Sebastien Giguere, and Shea Weber.

These 92 overall master set players can be acquired for any three 89+ Corner Stones cards and any two 89+ players. 

89 overall Corner Stones can be acquired for any three 87+ Corner Stones cards, while 87s can be had for any three 85+ players. There are also Collectible Sets available. 

All new cards can be seen in the video above. 

Any two 92 overall MSPs can be traded in for a 93 overall Corner Stones choice pack which contains 93 overall versions of the master set players. 

A 93 overall Sidney Crosby and 92 overall Wayne Gretzky Milestones cards were added to celebrate Crosby reaching 20 point per game seasons.
