Report: Senators’ MacArthur passes baseline test, decision to play or not coming Saturday

Clarke MacArthur could soon rejoin the Ottawa Senators lineup.

The 30-year-old passed his baseline test - a test designed to test post-concussion symptoms - meaning there's a chance he could return from a concussion that has kept him out of the lineup since Oct. 14, according to TSN's Steve Lloyd.

However, despite the good news, it remains uncertain if MacArthur will play again this season or be shutdown with just seven games remaining and the team nine points out of the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

According to Lloyd, MacArthur will meet with Senators general manager Bryan Murray where the two will discuss whether or not it would be best for MacArthur to play this season.

MacArthur failed the baseline test back on Feb. 29.

Earlier in the month, MacArthur told Ken Warren of the Ottawa Citizen that he would like to play in some of the team's final few games of the season.

MacArthur's concussion has limited him to just four games this season, with him going pointless in that time.
