Montreal Canadiens forward Brendan Gallagher is ruled out for the remainder of Monday's contest against the Edmonton Oilers, the team announced.

Alexander Romanov's shot was tipped by an Oilers player and hit Gallagher in the hand during the first period.

Gallagher ranks second on the Canadiens in goals (14) and third in points (23) this season. He leads the team with a 60.67 Corsi For percentage at five-on-five.
