While Shawn Horcoff is hanging up his skates, he won't be out of work.

The former Anaheim Ducks forward will join the Detroit Red Wings as a member of their player development team, according to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman.

Horcoff contributed six goals and 15 points in 59 games with the Ducks last season. He concludes his NHL career with 186 goals and 511 points in 1,008 games.
