Alex Ovechkin made a young fan's night in Edmonton on Tuesday.

Prior to an eventual 4-1 loss to the Oilers - in which he scored the lone goal for the Washington Capitals - the great goal scorer offered one of his sticks after it came to his attention that a kid in the stands was wearing his jersey.

A friendly exchange that won't soon be forgotten by the new stick bearer.
