The Vancouver Canucks continued the league's efforts to celebrate You Can Play night on Tuesday, donning pride-themed jerseys before their tilt against the Detroit Red Wings.

The initiative, which falls during the NHL's Hockey Is For Everyone month, is aimed at promoting inclusion and acceptance, particularly for those in the LGBTQ community.
According to the Canucks, the You Can Play project - which works to prevent homophobia in sports - was founded in 2012 to honor Brendan Burke, son of former Vancouver general manager Brian Burke. Brendan Burke passed away in a car accident in 2010.
The Canucks will autograph the pride-themed jerseys and auction them off after Tuesday's game.
